YOU DON'T GET PAID??????
I've heard the disbelief in that question many times. The answer is still no, I do not get paid. I work full-time in ministry for $0. After I've answered that question, I usually get two more. The first being "Why?". I do it simply because it's what God is asking of me. As the old saying goes, He says, "Jump!", and I say, "How high?". I absolutely love what I do, and I (should) thank God everyday for the opportunity to live out a life I never dreamed I could have. The second question is usually "How?". This is where you come in. You as in people that want to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Something that means something. I used to (and sometimes still do) find it difficult to wrap my brain around asking people for money, but it's because I didn't fully understand what I was asking. I thought it was about me, but that couldn't be further from the truth. This has zero to do with me, and all to do with God, the work He wants accomplished, and the teaming up of people to get it done. At this time in my life I'm the face that those that I'm sent to see, but they'd never see this face if it weren't for the hands behind me pushing me forward, prayerfully and financially. We don't want the hurting of this world not to see this face do we?? (haha!)
